This Privacy Policy describes how Embur Inc. ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the CrushCircle mobile application ("CrushCircle", the "App"). By using CrushCircle, you agree to this policy.

CrushCircle is strictly for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. Accounts found to belong to a minor are terminated and all data deleted immediately.
Account data: email or phone number, password (hashed with bcrypt), date of birth (for age verification), nickname, gender, interests, and profile photo.
Location data: with your permission, we collect your real-time GPS location while Radar is active, to detect nearby matches and calculate proximity. Location is only shared with matches via the Navigate feature once a mutual like occurs.
Content: profile photos, voice messages, and chat messages you send to matches.
Usage data: likes sent/received, matches, reveal status, app interactions, and crash/performance diagnostics.
Device data: device model, OS version, push notification token, and authentication tokens (stored securely in iOS Keychain via Expo SecureStore).
CrushCircle's core feature is anonymous proximity matching. When you activate Radar, your location is sent to our servers to find nearby users and is updated periodically while Radar is on. Your exact location is never shown to other users — only relative proximity ("Close", "Very nearby", etc.) unless you are a Premium subscriber with Heat Radar enabled, in which case exact distance in meters is shown only to mutual matches during Navigate.
You can disable location access at any time via iOS Settings → Privacy → Location Services → CrushCircle. Disabling location will prevent Radar and Discover from functioning.
Camera and photo library access is used to set your profile photo and share images in chat, with your explicit permission. Microphone access is used only when recording voice messages in chat. Audio is never recorded in the background.
Direct messages between matched users are stored on our servers to enable delivery and conversation history. We do not sell, scan for advertising, or share message content with third parties. We may review messages reported by users for abuse, harassment, or violations of our Terms.
With your permission, we send push notifications for new likes, matches, messages, and proximity alerts. You can disable notifications anytime in iOS Settings.
CrushCircle Premium is offered as an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or annual) via Apple's In-App Purchase system (StoreKit). All payments are processed exclusively by Apple — we never receive or store your card details.
Upon purchase, Apple provides us a transaction receipt which we use solely to activate Premium features on your account. Subscription status, plan type, and renewal dates are stored on our servers linked to your account to display your membership status.
Refunds are handled exclusively by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
To operate core features: matching, messaging, proximity detection, and notifications. To verify age eligibility and account security. To process Premium subscriptions. To investigate reports of abuse and enforce our Terms. To improve app stability via crash and performance diagnostics.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with: Cloudinary (media storage), Railway (backend hosting), Apple (subscription processing), and when required by law or to prevent imminent harm to a user.
Account data is retained until you delete your account. Chat messages are retained until deleted by either party or account deletion. Location history is not retained beyond what is needed for live proximity matching. Transaction records are retained 7 years for legal/tax compliance. Deleted account data is purged within 30 days.
You may access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. Account deletion is available in-app: Profile → Safety & Privacy → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, photos, messages, matches, and location data within 30 days.
European users have rights under GDPR including lodging complaints with a supervisory authority. California residents have rights under CCPA including the right to know, delete, and opt out of sale (we do not sell data).

All data is transmitted via TLS-encrypted connections. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Authentication tokens are stored in iOS Keychain. In the event of a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you as required by law.
You can block any user, preventing all future contact and matching. You can report users for abusive behavior — reports are reviewed by our team. Panic Hide instantly removes you from all radars and matching for your safety.
CrushCircle is for users 18 and older only. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has registered, contact support@embur.world with subject "MINOR ACCOUNT REMOVAL" for immediate action.
CrushCircle is operated by Embur Inc. (Kuwait). Your data may be processed on servers in the United States. By using CrushCircle, you consent to this transfer.
We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
